THE OTHER
I am working on a project where I combine fine art nude images I will be taking in LA with images I took while in Turkey.
I am trying to convey a few things:
1) the difference in culture
2) the desensitization of sex / nudity in our culture.
In essence this project is a psychological test. When starting at an image do we first see ourselves or the other?
What do we consider the outlier (the thing that is not like others / the thing that does not fit in) in an image?
In these images I have digitally added the outlier. Not only have I digitally added the outlier in the image, I have tried to make it obvious, in a certain way, but also blended it into the image.
What do you think the outlier is in this image? What does that say about you?
Let me know your thoughts.
